Sasha Obama Representing the OC!

This week, the OC got White House-level recognition: a dress worn by First Daughter Sasha Obama was designed by an OC label--Costa Mesa-based BB Dakota.

According to the OC Register:
The Clarissa dress worn by Sasha Obama is sold at Doll Boutique in Costa Mesa and at the Fullerton-based online retailer Shop Ruche. The dress is also sold at online retailers Zappos, Shopbop, Amazon and Piperlime.

Employees at BB Dakota "just blasted out the information today to all of their accounts, so they have not seen a direct increase in sales yet, however they definitely expect to," according to a statement provided Monday by the O.C.-based label.

Shout out to the OC!

P.F. Chang's New Culinary Playground - in Irvine!

Enjoy the P.F. Chang's at the Spectrum in Irvine?

The popular restaurant is undergoing a radical transformation--and rebranding itself as "culinary playground" of sorts. The Irvine location, which closed in August, will become a testing ground for new dishes, including Bang Bang Chicken Flatbread, Okonomiyaki Shrimp and Bacon Fritters, Singapore Black Pepper Prawns and Sichuan Grilled Steak Frites, and Orange Spiced Halibut. The wine list has also doubled in size, and more Happy Hour dishes have been added, as well. And portion sizes will remain the same, but meals will be served in bowls instead of plates. The new changes instigated in Irvine, if successful, will be reflected in the national chain's menu.

The new P.F. Chang's reopens next week. What do you think of the changes?
