Famous Face From Orange County: Tiger Woods

This week's Famous Face From Orange County is Tiger Woods. He was born Dec. 30, 1975, in Cypress, CA. He is a world famous professional golfer.

The child of a Thai mother and an African American father, Woods was a golf prodigy and won the first of three consecutive U.S. Junior Amateur Championships (199193) when he was 15 years old. In 1994 at age 18 he became the youngest winner of the U.S. Amateur competition, which he also won in 1995 and 1996. In 1997 Woods at age 21 became the youngest player and the first of African or Asian descent ever to win the Masters Tournament, winning by a record margin of 12 strokes. Winner of five other PGA tournaments in 1997, Woods became the youngest player ever ranked first in world golf competition. On July 23, 2000, Woods became the fifth player after Gene Sarazen, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, and Gary Playerin golf history, and the youngest, to achieve a career grand slam of the four major championships (the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA Championship). In 2005 he completed his second career grand slam.

Famous Face From Orange County: Max Page

This week's Famous Face From Orange County is Max Page of San Clemente, age 7.  Max Page plays the little Darth Vader in the 2012 ad for Volkswagen Passat. Max has never seen any of the Star Wars movies, saying he was too scared. He met James Earl Jones, the voice of Vader in the Star Wars in New York City. He later appeared in costume at the inauguration of the Volkswagen Chattanooga Assembly Plant.

Page has played Reed Hellstrom on the American TV soap opera The Young and the Restless since November 2009.

When he was three months old, Page had life-saving surgery, and soon after received a pacemaker to treat a heart disorder called Tetralogy of Fallot. Max had to undergo another corrective open-heart surgery at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles today.

Famous Face From Orange County: John Stamos

 

This week's Famous Face From Orange County is John Stamos. You probably know him as Uncle Jesse from the hit ABC TV show Full House. John Stamos is from Cypress, CA. Stamos is an American actor and singer.

Stamos has appeared in numerous television films and series. From 2006 to 2009, Stamos had a starring role on the NBC medical drama ER as Dr. Tony Gates. In September 2009, he began playing the role of Albert in the Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie. In September 2010 Stamos began a multi-episode arc as Dr. Carl Howell on the second season of the Fox series Glee.
